Tuesday Tune Up

All good salespeople occasionally need a simple word or two to help get them going, or to remind them about a simple truth that they have forgotten in all the “busyness” of trying to meet quotas. Earlier this week I sent out just a couple of quick motivational quotes to the CareSouth sales team to encourage them to have a great start to the month. I wrote this:

Two quotes for you to consider today:

It is not your customer’s job to remember you. It is your obligation and responsibility to make sure they don’t have the chance to forget you.
–Patricia Fripp

Sales are contingent upon the attitude of the salesman — not the attitude of the prospect.
–W. Clement Stone

Let’s have a great start to June this week!

And, here is the reply I received from one of our great Home Care Coordinators:

Wow- your quotes really hit home for me yesterday.

My story: I put a lot of effort, and great customer service, into this patient and family, only to find out that the patient was open to another home health agency. With disappointment I had to inform patient’s wife and fax all documents to the other company. Today, I am happy to report that the patient’s wife cancelled the other provider. She called me to ask if we could provide home health services because she was so impressed with our customer service at CareSouth! I would call this a good start!

So, be encouraged. All of your hard work does pay off, even, at times, when you think it doesn’t!
